Manage your blocked time types to create customized reasons for blocking time, with options for durations and compensation settings.

Blocked Time Types

How blocked time types work

  1. Blocked time types are pre-set labels you can use when adding blocked time to your calendar, such as Lunch break, Training, or Personal time. You can create, edit, and delete these types from your settings to match your business needs.

Create a blocked time type

  1. From the main menu, go to Settings.
  2. Select Scheduling, then click Blocked time types.
  3. Click Add blocked time type.
  4. Enter a Name for the type (e.g. "Lunch break" or "Training session").
  5. Set a default Duration for this type.
  6. Optionally configure Compensation settings if this blocked time should count toward team member pay.
  7. Click Save to create the type.
Blocked time types you create here will be available as options when adding blocked time directly from your calendar.

Edit a blocked time type

  1. From Settings > Scheduling > Blocked time types, find the type you want to update.
  2. Click on the type name or the edit icon.
  3. Update the name, duration, or compensation settings as needed.
  4. Click Save to apply your changes.

Delete a blocked time type

  1. From Settings > Scheduling > Blocked time types, find the type you want to remove.
  2. Click the Delete icon next to the type.
  3. Confirm the deletion. Existing blocked time entries using this type will not be affected.
