Manage manual payment types

Learn how to manage payment methods available at checkout.

How manual payment methods work

  1. Manual payment methods are custom options you can add alongside default methods like Cash and Card.
  2. These appear as options during checkout for your team to select.
  3. Default payment methods (like Cash) are locked and cannot be removed.

Add a manual payment method

  1. From the menu on the left of your screen, go to Settings.
  2. Click on the Sales category to manage your Payment methods.
  3. Select the Add button in the top right to create a new payment method.
  4. Enter a payment method name.
  5. Click on the Save button in the top right to add the method.

Edit or delete a manual payment method

  1. Open Payment methods from your Sales workspace settings.
  2. Select Actions next to a manual payment method, and choose Edit or Delete.

Rearrange the order of manual payment methods

  1. Open Payment methods from your Sales workspace settings.
  2. Click on the Options button in the top right and select Change order.
  3. Drag and drop the payment methods in the order you'd like them to appear at checkout.
  4. Click on the Save button in the top right to apply the changes.
